I agree.

I didn't think it was a Flagrant 1, and even though Smart flopped, I think there was a foul there.

Possibly but it looked to me like Smart didn't even get hit. Additionally, that is a tough call at that point in the game. Those arm bars happen all game long. To call that in OT is pretty tough when the officials are letting the players decide the game. Furthermore, Smart hooked him shortly after that call and their was no call. Personally, I think the game should be called consistently from the first minute to the last, including OT.

I really think they need to change the rule on flagrant fouls to be that if the officials review the call and it is determined the player flopped, it is a technical on the flopper. I would like to see flopping reduced.

If that's what the author of the article above really thinks, you're more of an expert than he'll ever be.

I'm not sure Smart is the best player on his own team, much less the teams OSU has faced this year. I said on another thread several days ago that OSU will miss Brown more than Smart next season. One could also make a case for Nash. If not for him, ISU would have blown the Pokes out on their own floor last night.

There is not a word of "I don't like Marcus Smart" in anything I've said. I honestly don't believe the Smart we have seen since the start of conference play is the best player on his team.

I think it's a pretty fair statement. In probably 90 plus percent of the games he plays he is the most talented

It's the opposite, you actually have watched the games and have an informed opinion. National writer has heard hype and watched Sportscenter.
