They are 14-1 and a 2 point loss to BC away from being undefeated. They've beaten Temple, Washington and just blasted OSU. Mark Turgeon's name came up back during our coaching search and I remember saying I wanted no part of him. Well turns out he's a pretty darned good coach.

Agreed.

I thought Turgeon was a dork and didn't want him either, still think Dana Altman is a dork too

...and when they get to the tournament they win games. Turgeon has never lost an opening round match up, I believe. Continually one of the most underappreciated coaches in the nation, everyone doubts his Aggies every year but they always take care of business.

Turgeon is a very good coach. He has A&M playing way above their talent level.

Their starting backcourt is Dash Harris and BJ Holmes...that's all you need to know.

They have a rare and good combination of having a lot of experience, but their youngest player that plays big minutes (Middleton) is their best player. He's kind of a poor mans Kevin Durant IMO.

This is the 3rd or 4th year in a row that many on this board have underestimated A&M. Yet they make the NCAA tourney nearly every year. A&M under Turgeon is a similar program to what OU was like under Kelvin for the most part, very consistent....only they lose in the 2nd round of the tournament every year instead of the 1st. :) (j/k, don't start a war)
