If you havent been keeping up with softball recruiting you should take a look. Coach Gassso is wiping the floor with the competition all the way out to 2020. Girls commit so very early that it's amazing and apparently they stand by their commitments. She is picking off the No. 1 rated recruits.

How do you spell Dynasty? Patty is the Pat Summit of college softball - and she is on a roll now, baby!

J Hale tweeted OU got Hannah Sparks C from a Florida JUCO. Went to HS in Alabama.

Sparks and Lowary both look like studs. If they have good attitudes and are team players, then OU's depth could be outstanding.

Does any one know if softball get full or partial ride?

My thought would be Macey Hatfield, because she will be a senior, and hasn't had very many opportunities to play. Or a newcomer in Kylie Lundberg. She didn't get much time at all this season and doesn't seem to figure into the mix on down the road either.

Marcy doesn't get many starts but she has been very reliable off the bench. I talked to her parents one year at Palm Springs tourney and they seemed thrilled she was asked to transfer over from I believe from OK Christian. Like being called up from the A league to the big show.

She actually transferred after one year at Seminole State. Appeared in 42 games with 4 starts. Used primarily as a pinch hitter and hit .350 for the season including 2 HR's as a pinch hitter. I suspect she will again be OU's top pinch hitter in 2017 after sharing that duty with Townsend and Nirschl in 2016.

I know Macey's parents, she is not going anywhere. Too valuable a commodity because she can play anywhere.
