I've noticed that slappers often hit grounders/bouncers. Are they intentionally trying to hit the top of the ball?

It was a heck of a game last night between Alabama and Nebraska. The Tide won it in the bottom of the 12th with a walk off home run.

Yeah, I was pulling for the Cornshuckers in that game. I still haven't forgotten the attitude/theatrics the Alabama team displayed in that decisive Game 3 of the WCWS game against OU (the game in which the officials succumbed to pressure and refused to call a game that clearly should have been called due to rain).

And I was big-time surprised with the way Michigan jumped all over Florida State last night and beat the Seminoles 17-2. That huge offensive display came against a Florida State pitcher who was basically unhittable last weekend in the regionals.

I was pulling the the Huskers too. I watched the first 11 innings but went to bed before it was over. Just too tired to see the outcome.

Well it was a great 3 innings tonight until the rain came. After the delay ESPN2 would not get off boxing and I could not watch it on ESPN3 or watchespn because they shifted the game to ESPNU and my ISP is not a participant. If someone could help me out with what is going on I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Runner on first with Casey at the plate. If OU scores 1 more run we win on the 8 run rule.

Casey gets a base hot so runners on 1st and 2nd with one out. Miller coming to bat.

The rain delay was a bit unsettling. We lost one game to Baylor this year, due to a rain delay. We lost to Alabama a couple of years ago, after a rain delay. Tonight, Kelsey allowed one run, coming just after the rain delay. It is now 8-1 going into the top of the seventh.

Kelsey has been pretty sharp tonight. We had two home runs: Pendley and Williams. But, most of the runs were due to Tennessee mistakes. They have a lot of errors, and you can't win at this level if you commit errors.

Brittany Williams just injured her shoulder diving for a ball in right field.

Williams injured her left shoulder diving for a ball in right field. Hopefully it isn't serious.

Eleven strikeouts, zero walks: Stevens had a good game.

We can't afford to lose Brittany. Losing Katie and, for the most part, Lauren, is a bit too much already.
