OU loaded the bases, but Romero lined to right. No score after one-half inning.
Nebraska three up, three down, against Lopez.

OU scored five in the second, thanks to two Nebraska errors. Two OU singles.
5-0 after two

Runs scored/runs against

Oklahoma 15/4
Auburn 7/6
BYU 17/10
Washington 4/5
Nebraska 3/21

Only BYU has scored more runs, and they didn't fare that well against us. Nobody has allowed fewer runs than OU.

Runs per game
BYU 5.67
Oklahoma 5
Auburn 2.3
Washington 2
Nebraska 1

Only BYU and OU are scoring in Puerto Vallarta.

Today's games:

Washington vs Nebraska
Washington vs Oklahoma
Auburn vs BYU

Lost 1-0.

We made some bad decisions that hurt us in the two games we lost. Never could get a key bunt down all weekend. Bunting into a double play, ouch.

#1 OU lost twice
#2 Auburn lost
#4 LSU lost
#6 Michigan lost twice
#17 Missouri lost
#20 Kentucky lost twice
#21 Baylor lost twice
#22 Notre dame lost twice
#23 Florida Atlantic lost twice
#24 Fresno State lost
#25 South Florida lost

A lot teams that didn't lose didn't play a decent team. Florida looked good as did Oregon and UCLA. Minnesota may have something.

Are we as good as some thought coming into the season...kinda early to really tell right now I know.

Just a reminder ... The OU softball team started 0-2 last season, losing their first 2 games in Las Vegas to Minnesota and Washington.

Exactly! And Knighten and Romero are coming off recent injuries/surgeries and will round into form soon.

We want to be the best in May/June, not February!
