It was the first game of the year on the road against an opponent, who i believe will be a top 25 team sooner than later. That freshman is really good! Buddy looked even better than last year. Turnovers were a problem, but its the first game, on the road, in a great enviroment. A win is all we could ask for after that performance and we got it. officiating was inconsistent at best and we played through it. down the stretch i think this will be on the screen as a key win. they will be good! We showed some toughness and guts. thats what we want to see early. these freshman will get in a rhythm and mcneace and james looked good. Buford can rebound well when hes at the 4. I like him. Woodards shot has improved leaps. we will be really, really tough to beat!

Agree that it was a solid win.

Opening game jitters: Our 3 senior starters (Buddy, Isaiah and Ryan) each had 4 turnovers as OU totaled 19 turnovers. By comparison, Memphis has 12 turnovers.

Memphis greatly helped OU's cause by missing 13 free throws.

Free Throws
OU: 15-20 (75.0%)
MU: 18-31 (58.1%)

OU shot the ball better than Memphis, from the floor and the FT line.

Any true road win against a team with talented guys like Memphis is a good win.

We could nit pick the win, but we played well for a mid November road game against an athletic, talented team. A really good win.

Hey remember when we lost on the road early last season to a bad Creighton team? Well, we just won on the road against an above-average to good Memphis team. Any road win in college basketball is good.

It was a good win and experience. I wish we would slow down and pass a little more effectively. Movement to get open... less one on one. I guess Lon has the guys playing the style he wants.

A win was all I wanted from that game. Usually things start sorting themselves out after game 2 or 3 with regards to turnovers and brain farts.

It sure felt like we missed more than 5 FTs

Great win on the road. We need a center to step up. Hopefully that will come with more experience.
I loved the fact that Cousin and Woodard combined for 13 assist.
