Our bigs outplayed their bigs in spite of the missed layups. Even Kim acknowledged that. Their guards beat the living daylights out of our guards.
You have to ask yourself; how many layups did Baylor miss or even shoot under pressure.
The inconsistency and bad decisions this team makes is on Sherri. She can't avoid a lack of energy in a game occasionally, but it is a consistent pattern with this team. I'm sure Sherri is frustrated as anyone but only she can fix it.
I wonder if she is still using the men in practice. It is a practice I have never been fond of. I know it is supposed to make them tougher but for every minute the men are on the floor, five players are not getting valuable development time.
I am also puzzled about her rotations. We seem to have one player coming off the bench for a few games then someone else shows up with no positive effect. For example Derica was playing pretty well in a starting and then reserve role and suddenly she is not a factor and LaNeshia is playing. I just never know who is coming off that bench. Against Baylor someone was replaced in the first two minutes. Someone may have been injured or needed to hear something from the coaches, but I didn't hear about any thing like that. So much for your game plan.
One of the main problems is that the two players other than KayKay who were supposed to lead the team (Ortiz and Little) are having a bad year. Hard to win with that going on. I admire Edwards energy and drive but she is seriously lacking in some skills we need in a guard.
