Sooners beat Tech

I think Nicole has improved quite a bit over the course of the season. She doesn't play much but she's finally been able to hit her shot and she looks much more comfortable on the court when she's in the game. I think she's really going to be a valuable player over the next few years.

I think so too. When she gets in she doesn't seem intimidated or gun shy. She isn't afraid to mix it up and stick her nose in the action. And, she seems like she might be a scorer. She's not afraid to shoot.

At the start of the season it was for certain Sherri would sub Nicole every 4-6 minutes for stamina reasons and as late as the KSU game she was playing only 25 m/g. However in the last four games she has played 40, 35, 37 and 37 minutes. To me that is a significant change. She has also averaged 11.8 points and 6.3 boards for that interim which is another positive.

I was referring to Nicole Kornet as MPS had mentioned she was giving good minutes.

But you are totally correct about Nicole Griffin. I never thought after the last couple of years that she could play that long. She's definitely taken a huge step up this year and I'm hoping even more improvement next year. Hats off to her!

I was proud of Griffin last night. She was playing physical, jerking balls away from opponents, and grabbing rebounds with authority. When she plays tough like that it makes a big difference in our overall competitiveness.

+about 10 on this that is as physical as I have seen her play. I think they thought they could intimidate her and it did not work. She was a force last night. She and Jo are a hand full for a lot of teams. I thought Jo's 3's turned the tide of the game.

I kind of felt bad for the Tech coach. There were clearly some questionable calls against them. The way they were driving at Nicole Griffin the entire game and she only ends up with one foul against her (if I remember the SS.com box score correctly) was either very impressive, or very eyebrow raising. She also had 6 blocks to her name

Tech is still a good program... and those cheesy Tech ads with her (especially that Lubbock dry cleaner one) were cute. Hope she's secure with the program

I like Curry and hope she does well. She has had a hard time recruiting top talent to Lubbock but, they had a good year and hopefully can continue to improve.
