will get us in. When comparing teams we have too many good metric systems in place and they will not be ignored. It's not just about records anymore. Have some belief about dancing.

And if we are not in, just schedule cupcakes out of conference.

There is no doubt SOS matters but it’s not strictly about that. You do have to win enough of those games to earn a bid. Otherwise, KSU and West Virginia would be in the mix.

I think that we should be in based on the metrics and what the committee has emphasized the past few years. But I don’t think it’s as simple as saying they are rewarding teams for beating cupcakes if we don’t get in. Iowa State is a good example. The reason they are ahead of us isn’t because they have a better overall record, it’s because they have a much better Q1 record.

I know its not just sos. Its that with top 40 net and top 30 kp rankings to boot

You still have to win enough games. We have LOTS of "quality losses." If we get in it will be barely. Without the Baylor win the other night we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

10 Q1/2 wins is a lot.

And with 1 more win anywhere OU is a mortal lock.

So they are in the bubble. I think the right side of the bubble.

I love your optimism Boulder, I hope you're right.

The SOS is awesome and the Quadrant wins is awesome but just too many bad losses to overcome. Just beating a bad Butler team at home would be enough.

You and I have been lockstep in this Boulder, but I’m turning on you. I think we are out. Things did not go our way in our game or the other games since we beat Baylor. I just think we got passed by too many teams. I have a lingering hope that maybe there is a team or two that is consensus-in that really isn’t, but I don’t feel good about it. In Bracketmatrix, Wake and Xavier are the two teams I felt strongest about we could pass— well, it now has all three of us out. That’s the bad sign for me. I think we come up empty tonight and find out we are a 1 seed in NIT. Ugh.

Are teams like miami, notre dame, smu, michigan, indiana, wyoming all in? I dont think so, and I will say it again we should be playing abilene christian at home instead of butler and 3 more terrible teams at home instead of going to myrtle beach tourney if we dont get in. We played one of the toughest schedules in the country and finished with 18 wins in which 10 were q 1&2 with an average NET and KP ranking of 35. Compare that to the other at large "locks" and we are in.

That’s the hope: that a lot of these teams consisted “in” or safe by most predictions, really aren’t.
