34.4% and 19.2%:

_WVU's shooting percentage from the field and from three. That tells me the stifling defense we have seen this team play at times this season was there for most of the game.

27 and 16:

_The number of field goals OU scored, followed by the number of assists. That's good team basketball, folks!

Those are impressive, although WV only shoots 41.4% and 29.6%, respectively.

I was most surprised that we had 13 turnovers to their 15. Those numbers are usually 21.86 and 12.45, respectively. We turned the turnover game back on them, and they live off of it. They had some trouble handling it against our half-court defense in the first half.

I think I heard the announcers say the previous low turnovers forced by WVU was 19 against Texas.

First team all year to have more assists then turnovers against them. 16-13. Great job by our guys tonight and well deserved payback.

OU played pretty good defense but the real key was handling the press. OU's offense took away their easy buckets.

OU played really good defense. They fought hard the whole game. I think they wanted revenge for what happened at WV earlier.

Once again it is proven that defense wins games.

I have posted many times - but this ratio is the key to OU's success this season. Woodard's TO- assist ratio was bad last night, but Thomas made up for it. He was awesome not only breaking the press, but making WVU pay for pressing.

I get that. But if WVU has 7 more steals that lead to 7 fast break conversions, their shooting average is about at their norm. It was handling the press that beat these guys.

Yes, they had to break the press to beat them. They didn't the last game and got their butts handed to them. The Sooners were also very active on the defensive end and frustrated WV. It was a very well rounded game for the Sooners.

It's difficult to come up with any reasonable criticism while the clock was moving - whether we were on offense or defense. My only source of frustration was during foul shots. If we hit 75% of ours and simply grabbed the rebound when they missed theirs, we may have won by 30+ last night.
