Report on ESPN insider says that OU and Stevie have parted ways.
I'll believe will Jennings over ESPN on OU related news. He says OU is still in play then I believe Will.
Honestly, I don't get all the stress over a 6'2 shooting guard with limited PG skills. Stevie scored a lot off volume much like Azabuike (sp?). You get nothing further from AAU because there is no such thing as defense for them. OU needs a true PG, and a little more size at the 2 then what Stevie has. I think he would be good in a system like Mizzou or Kentucky, where speed is used to neutralize a possible size mismatch, but I just don't see how he would fit in with Kruger's style. And unless he grows or develops some handles, I think its college and then over seas. Its not sour grapes, I just think he doesn't really fit OU. He's not physical and I think he may struggle finding his shot against bigger, better competition in college. That said, Mizzou and maybe Arkansas are the best systems for his body type and skills. And yes, I have seen him play a few times and was somewhat underwhelmed. I've also met him at the OKCPS sports banquet and he seemed like a really good kid. So, I really hope for the best for him.
Talk to Al today on the radio. LK wanted Stevie real bad. And thought he was going to commit prior to the summer. Not sure the reason for a split. AL knows LK better than most on this board.
We loved Stevie but he and his family have chosen to play the dark side of college basketball. LK doesn't and won't do it. We aren't recruiting him.

We all have a right to an opinion and I respect yours. That being said I completely disagree with this.
I think he is the best guard to come out of Oklahoma in a long time and I think he is a scoring PG in college.
I was a little shocked when you said work on his handles.
I wish the kid luck, I just worry that I will have to see him going to work for OSU the next few years.
And Al also likely won't be able to recognize all of the incoming freshman till November at the earliest.

Ridiculous.
I'd stick up for my dad too, but does he still want to fight me over the comments I made on the rivals OU board about his professionalism when you whined over there? I still crack up over that every time I think about it. Midget strippers are awesome.
Please provide the details of this. Are, you, Jesus? If not, who is your dad? Can we get details of the post? Are you referring to a thread created over a decade ago when a young lad in his early teenage years read the words of someone making fun of his father and felt the need to respond? If so, I tip my hat to you riling up a teenager by making fun of his dad and remembering as one of your finest moments.
