Oklahoma’s three-game win streak came to an end Thursday night at Lloyd Noble Center with a 83-79 loss to TCU.

The Sooners’ streak started in Fort Worth with a 76-60 win over theHorned Frogs on Feb. 24. OU went on to beat Texas and Texas Tech, putting together its longest winning streak of the season.

TCU led the entire second quarter, but OU turned the tide and took the lead with just over three minutes left to play in the third quarter and built its advantage to as many as eight points. The teams went back and forth in the fourth quarter until the final minutes when the Horned Frogs gained the lead again and didn’t look back.

OU pulled within one point of TCU in the final minute of the game off back-to-back layups from Tatum Veitenheimer and Skylar Vann. But the Sooners’

comeback effort was stopped short, as a free throw from the Horned Frogs and a layup at the buzzer sealed the deal for TCU.

The Sooners delivered on the offensive end of the court, shooting better than the Horned Frogs from the field (50.9%), 3-point range (38.1%) and free throw line (77.3%). But TCU put more shots up and out-rebounded OU 35-28. The Sooners also committed 22 turnovers in the loss.

Gabby Gregory tied her season-high scoring total, posting 27 points and adding four rebounds and two assists.

While she led the Sooners in scoring, Gregory only scored once in the fourth quarter. Taylor Robertson and Madi Williams each added 14 points and Vann scored 13 points.

OU plays Kansas State in Norman on Sunday for its fourth game in eight days and its final game of the regular season.
