I think the coaches get to have one or two practices a week with the kids in the summer and I would like to come to one so as to check out the new kids. If anyone knows dates and times of practice, I would appreciate your posting that information. Thanks.

The rule change now allows coaches to work with the players 2 hours / week during the summer.

The rule used to be 2 hour/wk in small groups, not sure if it has changed. It really is a joke when you think about it.

Is this the same as last summer, or has the rule changed again?

I think it's the same for basketball but football coaches also get 2 hours this summer. I heard they will monitor some of the 7x7 workouts. Hopefully the BB coaches aren't limited to just position groups.

I dropped in and saw a couple of the BB practices last summer. They were full squad practices. Each week, I think the team had the option of one 2-hour practice, or two 1-hour practices. In addition, I think the coaches were allowed to coach-up players in individual workouts.

In prior years, the individual workouts would be overseen by the strength & conditioning coach, and full squad practices were not allowed.

At least, that is my understanding.
