We will make the tournament next year. I would appreciate finishing the season at .500 this year. If we lose these next two to A&M we have a whopping 1/2 game improvement over last season (granted that is with a tougher schedule).

The second half collapses and mental mistakes this team has made the majority of the year have been extremely frustrating, but I can't help but look at some of the games we should have won and feel OK about next year.

However, I do classify this season as a disappointment because I expected an NIT birth regardless of whether the coach was Capel or Krueger. I think we had enough talent to have achieved that goal but it's not likely to happen so overall I'm pretty disappointed.

I don't think any OU fan can be disappointed at ending over .500, especially after losing Newell. But it is disappointing to come from having 11 wins out of conference to now only having a handful of wins in conference play.

Last year we seemed to get ran out of the gym quite often. This year, we were able to play with the best of them for the first half and even had a good shot at winning some games towards the end. Obviously, I wanted more wins but its okay as I knew it was going to be tough.

We would need to win 3 more games, including one in the tourney. That's assuming we lose one game in the conference tourney. This team could, but I've had enough getting my hopes up to have them let down again.
