He said he doesnt care about starting as long as he plays. It means nunthing to him that he isnt starting just glad to play the game he loves. He said practice starts back at 4 today and the foot is coming along faster then they thought it would.

Good news! Hornbeak is an important piece to our success going into conference play.

He said the team has high hopes to be big 12 champs next year and year after and hopefully some deep tourney runs. He is hoping to play the following saturday after the Texas game.

Agree. He steadies us when JW needs a breathier. He can also play alongside him. I look for him to start picking his production up toward the latter half of conference play.

good to hear! He was getting starter minutes and is as important to the teams success as anyone.

That means he's out for both Texas and Kansas...

Hornbeak is off the crutches, out of the boot, into his basketball shoes, and on the court. He is only doing things that he can do in a walk. He was shooting free throws, and 3's, and participated in the lob to the cutter at the rim drill. For everything else he was on the stationary bike.

He will increase his activities every day going forward as long as he doesn't have any pain. If he starts hurting at some point, they will back him up some. It is impossible to tell for sure when he will be good enough to play. But, without a set back, I'm guessing that he will be available for Texas.

Great info! That's why we pay you the big bucks HAHA.

Here's to hoping he is, in fact, ready for the Horns. It'd be nice to go into that game at full strength..

The old Boston Celtic, John Havlicek, set the standard for being the 6th man. He's in the Hall of Fame. I remember reading it's not important who starts the game, but it does matter who finishes it.

I think Clark is a perfect example of a guy being the 6th man one year and the best player the following year.
