Maybe TE thought he had a chance at the Mizzou job. Their standards are, apparently, pretty low.

Wrong in every way. Lamar's basketball facilities are worse than UCO's and no coach, including Billy Tubbs has won at Lamar.

You ever heard of the Montagne Center? Or the fact that Billy took Lamar to the Sweet 16?

The word is that Evans thought Lamar had offered him the job when in fact they had not so he withdrew his name temporarily. He's still in the running for the Lamar HC position and it appears that him and Pat Knight are the top two candidates. Lamar will name their new head coach no latter than Thursday.
