Starters:

5-8 Sr G Shawnie Goff 16.00 pts,
6-0 Sr F Mary Savoy 9.25 pts 3.58 reb
5-9 Soph G Idil Turk 7.12 pts
5-3 Soph G Bernesha Peters 7.12 pts 3.12 Assists
6-1 Soph F Tristan Murphy 5.62 pts

There is no three-point specialist. They have been slightly outrebounded. They play decent FG% defense. They average about 17 turnovers. Their opponents average almost twenty.

5-3 team. Biggest wins were A&M Corpus Christi and North Texas.

That was an ugly first quarter.......way too many turnovers!!!:facepalm

Why don't our girls value the ball better?

We are shooting 47%for the first half! Yeah!

Why does Chelsey wear #20 in her intro video but 33 in the game?

Mulkey dominates the third quarter.....Get her some conditioning and play her more. You can't teach height.:woot

The last name of #5 for UTRGV is Kjartansdottir. Listening to Bob Carpenter, I thought he was saying Karch's daughter. I thought he was talking about the Olympic women's volleyball team coach's daughter.

:facepalm

That group with Mulkey, Maddie, Chelsea, and Gabbi created nightmares, no matter who our fifth was. Long arms, quick feet. They were the key to the third quarter separation.

They hurt us at the line.

I thought the same thing......:ez-roll:

It would be interesting to know how many shots were adjusted after Mulkey checked into the game.....;)

That should be a new stat. When she entered, I think we had let a 10-point lead wither to five, kind of looking like Oral Roberts. Suddenly, we had about a 23-point lead. I think in the last few minutes of the third, we got it up to 67-50.

That was impressive.

I take bk everything I said about TT over the weekend she can be a game changer.
Gabbi played great as well, just doesn't have TTs speed. What a great bench player though.

Dungee- is gonna be good, and Sherri is using her to push everybody to another level. I noticed for the technicals that Maddie and I believe Peyton were on the court and she had Dungee shoot them when Maddie and Peyton shoot like, 90%. That was 100% message time. I really like her.

Mulkey-- I think we got a player here. Potential Game Changer. The player we've been needing for a long time to compete on a national level.

Maddie- what I hope is that Sherri doesn't give her that spot bk until she is able to score 18 a game. She is beyond capable of that- SO dynamic. But she needs to be forced to that level. Like Geno did to Stewart, just use Dungee to twist that knife on her and don't stop until she knows it

Vivi- beast.

Gioya and Peyton were the benefactors of some silent messages tonight. Worth noting Dungee is having more consistent touches than Gioya right now and they are extremely similar players. Also, I don't think Dungee shuts other players down by hanging on the ball too long, she makes open passes- and hasn't forced too often. She will push Gioya to be more of that type of player- quick decisions or Gioya might become the sixth- which on this team ain't really a bad gig at all- also very necessary to have one. I think Maddie definitely gets a spot in the 5 because of D- and she also looks way better than last year shooting the ball. We shall see what happens

We look tough- and this Dungee kid is going to be responsible for raising the play of everyone else's game. I'm happy about it. And great game to coach as well- great by everybody. The future looks bright

I'll have to re-watch the game and take some notes. I think that the run in the third quarter came with Gioya and Peyton mostly on the bench---as you said. Peyton was in foul trouble. If I remember accurately, we had lost a lead, and it was down to five when Nancy entered.

Nancy only played seven minutes. I think we had a 20-23 point lead when she left. She, Maddie, Gabbi, and Chelsea were together. I think Gileysa, LaNesia, and Gioya were each in about a third of it. Gabbi made a couple of nice passes in to Nancy. Maddie made one pass to her, and she rebounded a Maddie miss for another. Between Maddie and Nancy, it seemed like there were arms everywhere in the lane.

We would have looked even better if McKenna hadn't stepped in front of Nancy to swat at another block. Nancy had it blocked, but McKenna hit the shooter's arm, and she got three free throws. Lost three points and the ball on that mistake.

Nancy has played 49 minutes thus far, about what a starter would play in a game and a half.

9 of 14 shooting from the field, 64.29%
5 of 6 from the line, 83.33%
23 points

8 rebounds
13 blocks
2 steals
0 assists
1 turnover
7 fouls

Me too! I was wondering who Karch was! I know about Kirahy but didn't think he was the one they were referring to!
