And the number for Alondes would be REALLY bad.

Well, that ALL depends on how well a few of the guys shoot the rest of the season.

Austin Reaves hit 45% of his 3-pt shots at WSU. So far this season, he is shooting 27% from 3 land!!!

Jamal Bienemy hit 40% of his 3's last year!!!!! So far this year......14%!!!!!


If those 2 guys can get back to at least hitting their 3's at even a 35% clip....we will have chances to win a lot of games!!!

Today's game was a perfect example!! At one point we were down by 11 points....all because at that point in the game...ksu was 9/21 from 3 pt line...OU was 2/16. The game looks a lot easier when shots are falling.

And it's not like those 2 guys haven't shot well before!

Team is shooting close to 80% from the free throw line for the season (23/29 for today's game). We need to make it to the line as much as possible and in the process offset some of our weaknesses.

this was the frustrating part for me today, we got five fouls on them early in the second half and continued putting up 3’s. gotta keep being aggressive and get those free throws, because we are shooting well.

What I surmised after reading:

Last game was a mirage...

Reaves still plays selfish out of control... but turned it on late
Kuath is not the 2nd coming of Patrick Ewing ( maybe the competition last game wasn’t that great after all)
We keep shooting 3’s instead of driving

Not 1 damn comment on lon’s use of timeouts.... you all suck.

I don’t think Reaves was selfish today. Not sure he attempted more than one shot in the first half

Reaves was a little selfish early on but he played well late in the game. Kuath played well on defense his offense is extremely limited right now. That's what you can say about a lot of the roster right now.

The good news is...osu, texas, Kansas state, ISU, and TCU aren’t really better than we are. There is ku, 3 more very good teams and then a bit of a drop off.

We have to win our home games against those 5 teams and hopefully steal a few on the road.

“Team full of newbs” equals 3 guys that started last year plus a guy that was with the team last year and is now starting (Reaves) plus a 5 star guy in Harmon or a couple of JUCO juniors all of whom have 11 games this year under their belt. That excuse is getting thinner and thinner.

I'm not sure I've ever directly attacked a poster, especially without provocation. I also never question fanhood, motives, etc. That all seems like weird behavior to me on a basketball fan site. Especially one where we have all been communicating with each other for over a decade.

I just stick to the content for the most part. I even reply to members of the cartel when I agree with them, or when they make a good point, etc.

It is they who deem which posters are worthy... Which opinions are valid... Which views are welcome.

I love my alma mater as much as anyone. My earliest memories of OU basketball were of Tim McCallister, Choo Kennedy, and Anthony Bowie. So don’t think I enjoy seeing what I see out there on the court. But I can’t stand excuses for poor play and bad basketball so I have to tell it like it is. If you don’t like objectivity then I’m sorry about that.

I didn't get a chance to check this thread till after the game and that is an incredibly funny experience. Reaves took only 11 shots, made six, sparked the comeback, yet is criticized for being a gunner and has people saying he should be benched. Meanwhile, we have people praising how KSU runs offense and saying Lon should take a lesson... notwithstanding the fact that KSU fans want to poke their eyes out on a consistent basis because their offense is so bad. To top it off, in the category that gets the most focus on this board, we outrebounded a team known for its physical play and that has bullied us for most of the past few years, yet there was basically no mention of that by the folks who fret most about our rebounding.

The negative folks on the board love to claim that they are just being objective and calling it like they see it. Reality says otherwise. If you go into every game determined to point out every mistake but never mention anything done well, that is far from objective.
