hey he could have not signed anyone and we wouldn't have even been able to fill a team. but whatever. i understand he signed these guys. but it was last second and he had to sign bodies to make a team. whatever. i'm not going to get into this circular discussion anymore. this place is turning into OUI fast.

And these people bashing capel don't realize that they are doing exactly what they despised other people doing with sampson. whatever though. hypocracy knows no bounds

Who's fault is it that he had to sign last second guys?? Was Capel not aware that Warren was a two year player (AT THE VERY MOST) when he signed him. Believe, Capel knew that day one. He had to recruit hard to get him to return. I guess it wasn't his fault that Gallon would probably had been ineligible had he returned. TMG and Gallon were just misses on the recruiting trail neither of which is Capel's fault. Obviously Capel doesn't sign off on scholarships.

I'm just looking at it this way.

If you had a job as a manager of an office/company/factory/McDonalds/whatever and you hired three workers who screwed one whole year. Then was unable to make up for firing/them leaving for at least a year or at least more. And you're company goes from turning record profits to record lows and being a laughingstock in your industry wouldn't you be fired?

I say misses in that they had character issues.

However, I think with the right coaching staff the outcomes would have been much different. The kids simply never bought into the system and I can't say I totally blame them.

u notice all the new posters that we have rarely heard from posting? they are fair weather fans that show up in bad times to say I told you so. Go look at the most recent poll. pretty sure the majority wanted to give capel another year

I know this board is melting down since this team is down 20+ to Texas Tech with a little walk on with over 10 points vs us but keep it civil.

Jeff evaluated this bunch of guys and none are good enough to start for any team in the top 1/2 of the conference. I doubt anyone but Cade makes honorable mention all conference.

He's a lame duck. All the 2012 recruits know his seat is hot and the studs won't sign with us in November unless he is from a lifelong Sooner family.

Joe C needs to clean house and start over.

u are overly simplifying. capel hasn't done everything wrong. he's recruited wrong. thats always fixable. Nobody is going to make this team look good.

i sorta agree except that Capel knew that this bunch he was bringing in wasn't much but he had to do it. yes its his fault but its not black and white like most of you make it
