The real problem

Wrong. Youre in luck tho, next year when shepherd is our starter and we win 11 games, you'll get "team ball". where we pass better just to miss the same layups and don't block out ever and have no toughness

I would rather lose playing team ball than lose playing Trae ball.

If we are losing either way, I prefer to see a semblance of a team

Sheapard really struggles , I’m not sure what some are seeing the ball moves off of him bc his handle is suspect

He gets like 3-5 minutes a game.

I'm just saying that we seem to have more semblance of an offense and give more effort when he is in the game.

He showed promise last year and never got the chance this year.
But the team seems different when he is on the floor and trae is sitting

IMO, he should have been getting 8-10 minutes a game this year.

2) I think some of the players are jealous of the spotlight Trae has received. I only see 4 guys give effort every night and seem like they truly care to win (James, Odomes, Lattin, & Manek). Seems like the others are going through the motions. If they are having a good game then they'll play harder, if not then they pack it in (I was disgusted watching McGusty last night).

this is spot on

Last night the team lost ground on the scoreboard with Shephard in the game.

LOL ok.

Well OSU outscored OU by more when Trae was in the game vs when Jordan was in the game...FACT!

That is fine, but when Shephard is in the game, the team isn't taking off like you say. I would venture to guess his +/- per minute played isn't great and likely at the bottom end of the team.

I never said they "took off". Just that they look to move the ball more and give more effort. It's hard to take off when that only happen 2-4 minutes a game.

I think Jordan got the shaft on the promises that Kruger made to the Young family. I wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer and have a good college career

I think he could be an austin johnson type player with the right coaching

You know what I have noticed? The ball movement and effort greatly improves when shepard plays. Yet for some reason, he only gets a couple minutes a game.

While this may be accurate, one could argue it is not, the fact is when Shepard plays OU doesn't win the scoreboard. So if ball movement is your desire, then play Shepard more. The fact is, when Trae is out of the game OU does NOT outscore the other team.

I don't know if you have noticed lately, but when Trae is in the game, we haven't been winning the scoreboard either

And there isn't anything wrong with playing shepard and trae at the same time

We could have been a very good team this year and we showed that early. But we stuck with the stand-around offense where TY attempts to make all the plays. And he made fantastic plays for a 19 year old based on this system. But basketball is a team sport and we did not run a team offense. We never had the opportunity to get many offensive rebounds with this system. It is not surprising to me that no one improved with this system.

I watch OSU and KU play as we speak and everyone has the opportunity to get involved and get their shots. The point we started catching OSU yesterday is when they started getting away from their offense and post TY. They had success once but then it took them out of rhythm. Once they went away from it they pulled away again.

As to whether players were upset and jealous it is certainly possible but I have no idea. It would only make them human if they were.
