If this team gets a grad transfer PG, I'm optimistic next year's team will be at least as good as this year's. (Near .500 in conf & NCAA tourney team)
McGusty & Doolittle will be better. I think James & Odomes will also and will take on leadership roles. Manek will improve.

You can't bet on any players improving currently.. they might get worse even
Next year's team stands a good chance of winning 18 games. That's about the trajectory they were on before Trae came. Put the ball back in Kam's hands, and let's go.

I like your optimism but I’m not seeing it. We don’t have a point guard and we will have only 1 post who isn’t a project. The big12 will be extremely tough again. We will battle osu for last place.
You might be correct on that last statement, but that's essentially what we were this year. We're not going to be an exciting team next year by any means, but even without Trae, most of us had expectations of this team playing at a higher level than they did the last couple months.
Trae is obviously a phenomenal talent, but certain players like McGusty sacrificed a lot this year. I also think Doolittle will play at a much higher level next year if he stays eligible all the way through. We were really excited for those two guys last year, and I don't think they truly "regressed" as much as people think. Just didn't adjust to their new roles.
