They're Sooners

I guess I'm confused, a number one post player who is 6 ft. 9 and only aves. 10 pts. and seven rebounds a game. What am I missing here? Potential?

Essentially, you are missing the presence of some players on a team that were trying to win a scholarship. They scored. They didn't really make a lot of entry passes to Nancy except when necessary, which it rarely was. When they needed her, such as the state semi-final game, she showed up with 21 points. It also reflects that they didn't play Nancy a lot during blowouts.

Thanks.

That is who she is....she sits at the 3 point line throwing up a ton of jump shots. I got a chance to watch her first school game this year and it was amazing how many people were complaining in the stands.

She has to get tougher and be more aggressive

I think you can ignore this.

I guarantee you can ignore this.

Lots of hurt feelings by those whose favorite team didn't get to sign the best player in the class of 2016.

If you have watched her play, you know she isn't the best player right now. I'm hoping that Sherri will get her in the weight room, get her a lot stronger, work with Mulkey on becoming the ruler of the paint and she could be just what we need. I think it will take a year or two after she gets here before we know how good she can be.

You may be right. But who got the best player is not always measured by what happens the day they are signed, but by what they produce over the next 5 years - a long time to grow and get even better.

I have never been more excited about the potential of a recruiting class than I am this year.

And I say that not expecting Nancy to be as great as Courtney. She was a once in a lifetime player. Perhaps the most impressive player in the last 20 years of NCAA WBB. When we signed her, I knew we had signed a wonderful player, but I did not realize just how special she was.

This I do know. We were not the only major school who wanted to sign Nancy. In fact, it is reasonable to assume that virtually every school would have liked signing her. Kudos to Sherry, Jan, and the others.

If you have watched all of these "great" players, you will know that none of them can really be said to be the best player. I have not seen a Breanna Stewart out there this year. But, even the Breanna Stewarts are seen to have holes in their game.

I don't think anyone has a legitimate claim to be better than Nancy. She has the title. If she reaches her potential, nobody will attain that high of a goal other than her.

I would say that Lauren Cox has a higher probability of being a successful contributor. But, I don't think she has the capability to be a Breanna Stewart. I think Nancy may be able to deliver something that is the next step up from Breanna. She could be the next step in the progress of the game.

She does not love the game and without loving the game......you will never see the results you expect.

I do know for a fact that Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M did not offer her, but those schools got to see more of her than any of you guys.

Just know this, i hope that she has a great career but if i were a betting man i would not place my money on it. We will revisit this subject in another year or 2.

I guess all the scouting services are wrong about Mulkey and dungee

It is, indeed, a troll post.

As have most of her/his posts.

Seems like those scouting services had both rated fairly highly. Seems like the U-16 USA team liked both, having given them three gold medals between them. But, what do they know?
