if the only reason for Joe C. to fire him is NCAA sanctions that will put the program further back than keeping him.

OU is not gonna bring in a big name or splash so we would be looking for re best mid-major coach we could find for a bargain. So who says that goes any better? Will lose any interest from current recruits.

Overall just think Capel is a good guy and as a program we are not gonna fully committ to basketball financially. Think you got to give him 2 years. You hire a new coach and it will be 2-3 years before he can really do anything so what are you gaining? Just spending $2 million to have what you already have.

Think we need to spend some $$$ and MAKE Capel hire some proven assistant coaches. That will help as much as anything else.

At this point I don't really care anymore. What's hurting Capel the most is that basically all the fan support for Basketball is gone. While it's not all his fault. That's what is hurting the program the most. There's maybe 50 OU fans that traveled to KC this weekend. Even on some of the more down years under Kelvin and Billy we would get several hundred.
