Listen to them cry and whine about the refs. Boo hoo. Nothing is said about the whistle swallowing and muggings that went on during the comeback. Eff 'em.
I already found Skeletor's postgame ref whining and cannot wait to dive into BF.com's drivel (the drivel is then posted to the link in my signature).
I can understand their frustration. Why did OU only make one Final Four when we had the Paris twins? Because the crazy bracketness landed us with opponents that we were not matched up well with. We could dominate the Big 12 regular season and be caught on an off-night in the postgame conference tourney. We could get every rebound from our rebounding queen, but then cringe as she missed tons of free throws.
So, while there may be a bit of taking joy in the suffering of others (I wish there was a word that described that mindset that would make a fun musical number. hmmm...) I can understand their frustration... but at least they got a title. Those things are tough to come by in this game.
I, too, am ecstatic Baylor lost. I'm almost as ecstatic that Stanford and that stupid tree mascot are also finished for the year! I am now officially a Tennesee fan. But I WILL NOT wear orange! ;-)
As good as Courtney and Ashley were, no one ever said she was the best player in the history of women's basketball.
I'm not trying to defend Baylor. If we were to announce that Big 12 is sending them to the Sun Belt tomorrow I would ask you why we couldn't do it today instead.
After following the Internet explosions of fanbases during the season, I try to put things in perspective. Sometimes stuff just happens that cannot be predicted, cannot be coaches, cannot be Presidential Oval Office ESPN special Barackatology'd. We had it happen to us with the Paris twins, Baylor had it happen to them.
Once again, Sun Belt the Baylors. Actually, send them to the MVC so they can't play football anymore. How dare they beat us two seasons ago
Do NOT tease me Badger!
With Tulsa leaving for the Big East (announcement tomorrow) there's a Conference USA opening.
The sky is the limit for Baylor athletics... except in basketball, of course:ez-laugh:
I'm wondering where all the Baylor trolls are. This is some sort of record for not showing up after a Baylor game.

Especially after Sulkey Mulkey showed her "True Colors" last night!

Well if your happy about the Baylor loss, then you are one of the folks who just decided that Women's Basketball is dead and gone. They have let this game become who is strongest and who is willing to punch, trip, hold, elbow, scratch and lose players fouling out to win. RIP women's BB. I for one am not happy about it, this crap should have been stopped about 10 years ago when they started to allow post players to push defensive players off their defensive position, to "back them down" or to "improve their position under the basket". The defensive player is entitled to their position and it should be called a offensive foul every time some player sticks their rear out bends their legs and starts pushing backwards.
