By the numbers ...

6 home games
2 true road games
4 games in Hawaii

12 non-conference games

10 wins is my mark for this schedule. Over that I'll be pumped

This has got to be one of the best schedules in the country. You can tell we are really trying to test ourselves early to prepare for the big 12 and the tourney. Gosh fellas this has got to be our year to make some noise.

Nov. 17 at Memphis W not the Memphis of old. Good road test.

Nov. 24 Incarnate Word W

Dec. 7 vs. Villanova (Honolulu, Hawai'i) Could go either way
Dec. 12 Oral Roberts W
Dec. 19 Creighton W revenge

Jan. 30 at LSU % may be the toughest of all. Good talent.

# Diamond Head Classic (field also includes Auburn, BYU, Harvard, Hawai'i, New Mexico, Northern Iowa, Washington State)

% Big 12/SEC Challenge

So I got 9-3 for that 12 game stint. If we are elite this year we go 10-2 or 11-1. But I'll take 9-3 and go into Big 12 with good experience and toughness.

Is there no All-Sports or whatever that game was called in OKC for all these years? If so is the first year that has not happened in a long time or have I simply failed to notice?

The last one was in 2013 when the osu men and women played a double header

I don't think there was one last year. It was doomed when they switched it up such that OU and OSU alternated as to who played each year.

All-College. Sad how that tourney has fallen since I was a kid.

have it on pretty good authority that the all college will now be an every other year deal .. with OU and osu both committed for the 2016 season

man our home sched kinda sucks

Actually, it's at least as good, if not far better, than most recent seasons:

2014-15
SE Louisiana
Northwestern State
Missouri
ORU
Weber State
George Mason

2013-2014
North Texas
Idaho
Arkansas-Little Rock
Mercer
Texas A&M-CC
Tulsa
UT Arlington
Louisiana Tech

2012-13:
ULM
Northwestern State
Stephen F. Austin
Ohio
Texas A&M-CC

*OU did play Texas A&M in OKC this season.

2011-12:
Idaho State
Coppin State
Sacramento State
Oral Roberts
Arkansas
South Carolina State
Northwestern State

Wisconsin is the biggest non-conf home game I can remember in the last decade.

You also gotta remember we scheduled the then 3 seeded Creighton Blue Jays for a home and home, even though they were awful after Doug left.

The Nova and is going to be the best game of the non con season. Two top teams in Hawaii slugging it out. I think we go at least 10-2, maybe 11-1.

I've seen a person on Hale's site really get offended that OU isn't playing Wichita State (implying it was cowardice on OU's part). Wouldn't it make more regional sense for Wichita State to play OSU? They're less than 100 miles apart, and of course OSU is supposed to be "the basketball school...."

This doesn't make sense to me, we aren't in the same state like Kansas and Kansas state, we play teams from our state. We give mid majors opportunities unlike Kansas. Playing at Creighton last year, going to Tulsa and oral Roberts recently.

La Tech and @ UT Arlington too... We don't need to take jack from anyone about playing Wichita State while KU and KState keep dodging them. It would be different if we were avoiding Tulsa and ORU but we play one of them almost every season.

9-3 (or worse) is, honestly, a worse case scenario to me. I expect to split Nova and LSU and win the rest.
