I have no idea of the merits, but wild that they fired him for cause while WSU chose to pay Marshall. WSU's decision is part of the reason why the former AD got fired -- he essentially caved to Marshall rather than deal with a potential lawsuit, even though they seemingly had a very strong basis to fire him for cause.

I think so as well. St John's can say whatever they want, and try to find cause, but everyone knows they're firing Anderson because he sucks and because they want Pitino. It's pretty clear.
