This is best news case for us imo. Texas can get huge name guys. I was hoping this team would do a good enough job to make it awkard to NOT offer him the job. He could turn out to be a stud anyway, but i think theres some risk at least

yep he could be great .. but it is far from a sure thing ..

and it will be very unlikely he will be better then Beard

Yup...and you can't blame Texas fans for wondering "what if". Had Beard not been a personal train wreck, you can't help but think their odds of cutting down the nets (or at least beating Miami) goes way up with the way the rest of the Tournament played out. Imagine how we would all feel if OU was in a situation which we were one of five teams left in the Tournament, and we were a #2 seed, and there were no other top-3 seeds. This has to be their version of Quannas White getting injured in practice a day before the 2002 Final Four.

Terry earned a shot, IMO. but, ya, you could argue the Horns did just play to about their talent level, ranking most of the year even when most of the tournament top seeds didn't.

I thought after the second half choke job against Miami.....Del Conte might take a chance to cut bait....Final Four, harder to do....

i think RT earned a shot.

former UT coaches Shaka and Rick Barnes, did all right this year, too.

I'm not on the McCasland train, but it's not really because of his style of play. I just want to win, I'm not overly picky about what it looks like.

Yep. Everyone complained about Kelvin due to his style of play compared to Billy's, but a lot of those folks would love to have him back now.

Just win.
