Thomas

Thomas can be a match up nightmare when he gets the ball within fifteen feet of the basket. Problem is, our guards don't get the ball to him in that position nearly enough. That needs to change going forward if we want to take advantage of his skills.

there are just wayyy to many wasted possessions because their guards are jacking up wayyy to many bad shots.

Another thing i notice is that they love to dribble wayyy to much. it's like they cannot pass the ball without dribbling first or they grab a rebound and just start trying to dribble instead of looking for an outlet pass or when there is a loose ball they try to dribble instead of just grabbing it first then dribble or pass.

Thomas did a lot of good things in that second half. When he gets more aggressive he'll get the ball more. Right now he just kind of takes himself out of the action.

He got those 2 early fouls and had to sit out the last 7-8 minutes of the 1st half. He might have played tentatively after that to keep out of foul trouble. I agree he needs to get more aggressive. Especially on the offensive end.

Ada - he doesn't get the ball in the post because he doesn't post up. He prances around the perimeter. The big fella needs to get on the block and get physical!

So far he hasn't lived up to my(our)expectations. I'm hoping for a rapid improvement.

This is not on him. It's on Kruger to utilize him properly and the guards to get him the ball. He has impressed me every time he has the ball in his hands. This offense should be an inside out game to Thomas who can kick it out to open threes for the guards. He's a weapon that Kruger hasn't had since he's been here, and he hasn't figure out how to incorporate him into the offense yet.

Romero was close, but he was more of a combo forward.

Thomas is a legit four with tons of skills. SK is right in that he needs to work harder to get position when posting up. But in his defense, he doesn't get the ball most of the time even when he does. I watched him follow the ball from one side to the other in yesterday's game, only to see our guards work their three man weave around the perimeter again looking for an opening to shoot another three.

Bigs get discouraged when they're not included in the offense. Smart guards try harder to get their work horses inside more touches to keep them happy. That's a lesson our guards haven't learned yet. They're too busy jacking up threes. If that doesn't change, and soon, the result will be another disappointing loss. It's inevitable when teams rely too much on shots from the perimeter.

His spin moves are straight up ballet/ice skating on the court
