I think I'd rather see Washington on the floor. He is not so wooden-moves more and better and at least gives us a much better chance at a rebound. With more experience he would be be very welcome.

I'd rather see the two split minutes and the lineup of Clark,Cade, Pledger, Blair, and Fitz go at it strong.

I agree with DM. Also Capel said in his postgame that Nick hasn't practiced in 3 days. That could help explain the rust.

Not sure why you keep wanting to make this a versus thing, jd?

They both need to play. I like Washington coming in to spell Fitzgerald (add in a little Big Puma if the other team has a brut down low).

Thompson should be a guard in the four guard offense imo. Let him have a low spot in the match-up zone.

I also agree, but, but between the two, I'd rather see Washington on the floor.

I just see very little that Thompson brings to the table that another player doesn't. He just seems too slow, particularly defensively, and not physical enough.

To his credit though, he does hustle back when the other team gets a breakaway, but I just wish he'd go up for a block like the lanky 6'9 guy he is and not rake at the ball like he's trying to be a 6'2 guard.

I totally agree Big Time, as much as I do not like Thompson's D at times, I think he would a GREAT impact in the match up zone or even in that 1-3-1 with that wide wing span... WINNER

I think you saw Washington pass Thompson on the depth chart today. It's not so much Washington playing better than Thompson, it's chemistry. I know Thompson missed last game and is dealing with a loss which I'm sure will effect his play but that says nothing for Washington's play which has been superb IMO.

So much this... whenever he's the defender on a fast break he just slaps the arms or body of the offensive player. Jump and try to block the shot sir!

Wouldn't mind seeing Thompson at the top of a zone defensively. Offensively, I can see OU playing 4 out 1 in with him. Rebound wise, Cade and Cam are probably more effective. The problem with the 4 in one out is Fitz is equally a jump shooter as he is a post up player. So that kind of makes it a 5 out at times.

I agree with this. I want them all to play. They each give something different. Those last two games Thompson played, he hit 6 three-pointers. If that can be his role and Washington can be the rebounder and Fitz can be the scorer, we can start to have an entire team that knows their roles and then maybe we can have some success.

It's nice to have depth too.

They both need to play, because they both bring different things to the table. Washington brings defense, toughness, and rebounding. Thompson brings versatility, better court vision, and the ability to score (averaged 14 a game against arkansas and arizona)
