TMG is as ready as he'll ever be.

the thing is...if he can go overseas and earn a low 6 figures then that probably sounds good to him right now. So as much as we (and I btw) think it is a bad choice...he gets to play a game and make a living at it. As we have seen from many of the kids overseas for many it ends up being a rather decent life.

Yep, some kids just don't like school and I'm sure he probably thinks he can improve his game over there more than he could in college, although I think he'd have a much better chance in college.

The only way guys his size make it in the NBA is by being long armed and ridiculously athletic and/or being able to create off the dribble for other people. TMG is a terrific shooter and handler but he doesn't make others better and he has alligator arms. He could have had an amazing college career and could easily have a long career in Europe but the NBA isn't in the cards real soon, imo.

He won't test well and he will struggle in workouts trying to guard other guard prospects.

he's not going to make it overseas, at least not right away and maturity would be the reason. the coaches over there would eat his lunch trying to improve his defense. the high school senior who went over and tried to do the brandon jennings thing quit last month. it ain't for everyone. the path to the nba runs through the nbdl for tommy.

yeah, this. I'm not convinced he has what it takes to make it overseas either. Think about the guys mentioned Price, Ere to name a couple. Does TMG's game translate like theirs?

Either way, it's his decision, if he doesn't like school and his dream is to play ball, then he can go live his dream. But he may be shocked at how hard he's going to have to work anyway, and just where that dream is going to take him.

Didn't he throw a little fit during the game and he sat up in the crowd after he got benched?
