1. cade must make at least 6 3s on 12 or less attempts
2. pledger must make at least 4 3s again on 10 or less attempts
3. we need fitz not to get into foul trouble and score 15 + pts
4. we need to have less than 10 turnovers wih a 4-1 asst turnover
5. newell needs to come in and give us a big energy boost
6. everyone else needs to not make mistakes, play good defense, and basically play the games of thier lives

thoughts.....what are your keypoints?

I'm not saying Kentucky is bad but all we have to do is score more points and defend well. We don't really need players to do certain things to win it. We won last night even though we turned it over 20 times. I doubt we beat many teams turning it over that many times and we won by 30. This is probably a good Kentucky team but I doubt it's Kentucky of last year that would kill good teams by 20+

we need to play tenacious defense, cut down on turnovers, and stay out of foul trouble

Whats your score prediction

I'm not sure yet. We'll find out in the prediction thread in a couple days.

I think we need to play zone and work it to Thompson on the elbows and let him create via an inside out approach. Would love to see Cade, Cam and Cal cut to the basket from the wings as well.

OU needs to defend...have few turnovers, work the clock, slow the game down and keep Kentucky from running up and down the court. They have a strength in their guards and we have a strength with our post. They have no one who can stop fitzgerald. Thompson needs to work his magic and get him the ball. We should have a huge rebounding advantage that we have to take advantage of. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...NEWELL AND PLEDGER MUST KEEP THE BALL OUT OF KNIGHTS HANDS AND NOT LET HIM GET ANY FAST BREAKS.

I was in MSG back in November of '02 to see OU play Alabama. The first game was Syracuse vs. Memphis, so I got to see Carmelo Anthony's first game. Sadly, I got to see Carmelo Anthony in Albany, NY in the Elite Eight against us at the end of that same season. Those were two completely different Carmelo Anthonys I saw. Terrance Jones, Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb may all end up in the NBA next year, but they're still young freshmen right now who will have their share of bad games.

To beat Kentucky, we'll have to play such a good defensive game that (hopefully) two of these three guys struggle to make shots. I'm most worried about Knight because without good "D" on him, UK will be able to name their score. He can shoot, penetrate and distribute. OU NEEDS TO FRUSTRATE HIM.

If the scenario above happens, and OU can find a way to make close to 50% of their shots, I think we'll win. Another way to say it is if OU brings their "A" game and Kentucky brings their "B-" game, this thing is going down to the wire.

OU needs to work inside out. Use Thompson as the facilitator for perimeter player and Fitz. They also need to protect the lane defensively, take care of the ball, and play good transition defense.

....bring back back these guys...

We shoot way to many threes. So if we shoot above 50% from three we win, if we don't we loose it's that simple.

If we shoot below 40% from three we get blown out...this is what happens when we rely on the three to much.

I disagree on this a bit. This team they have now should hit its stride soon and it will be crazy. They have unbelievable talent. Regardless though, next years Kentucky team will be insane in the membrane. All that being said I think Kentucky goes to the Elite Eight at worst this year. They have a lot of players on their team that play their own game and their spots well. Had they got the hardship for Kanter it would be their title to lose IMO.
