So....the age old question is upon us again....who do we prefer to lose today...Texas or osu? Objectively, I think osu is significantly better at this point. They have a decent defense, a good QB, and some skill to work with offensively. Texas' defense and o-line sucks, but their QB is electric. I don't trust his passing, but if osu isnt disciplined, he could light them up.

Living in TX, I always root against Texas...yet in this case, I wouldn't mind them bringing the osu hype down a notch. Having said that, I'm already hearing "Texas is back" down here based upon one good game from Heard. Can't stand either fanbase, but I also think it benefits OU to have a decent Texas to beat up on in October.

In the end, to hell with them both :D

Texas. OU wants to beat a strong Texas that the nation respects. OSU ... zzzzzz

The nation might respect osu more than Texas lately.

I was wanting osu to win. They have a better chance at being ranked at the end of the year than Texas. The more ranked teams we beat the better

Nice kicking game and empty seats. Both those teams are pretty bad. TCU giving up half a hundred.

Big XII is pretty sad. Won't matter what anybody is ranked. OU needs to ru the table to make the playoff. We aren't that good, but the Big XII might be that bad.

Baker Magic. It's our only hope.

I predicted UT to win, and was hoping they would. I deal with OSU people every day, not so much with UT fans.

That said, it's probably better for OU this year if OSU wins the game (which they obviously did). UT is going to lose a bunch whether they snuck out a win over OSU or not. OSU, due in part to a weak schedule, has a chance to be decent. Plus, UT having an incredibly poor season, like missing a bowl game, could help OU with recruiting against UT for a year or two.

UT could easily start their season 1-5. Let that sink in the next time you get mad that OU wins a game while allowing 30+ points, or finishes a season with 2-3 losses. It's not easy to stay at the level OU has been out since Bob got to OU, without a down turn like many other traditional powers have experienced.

I only got to see bits and pieces of the game on Saturday, but I did watch a good portion today during lunch on Fox no-huddle. It looked like osu went into an absolute shell in the 2nd half after Rudolph's pick 6. I also think osu was the beneficiary of several calls that really screwed Texas. Texas defense played better and were opportunistic, but their offense took a step back because they actually played a defense for the 2nd time this season. And Texas' kicking game (punting/FG) continues to haunt them.

My take-away from the game is that Texas is incrementally improving, but will be no better than average this year. OSU should count their blessings that they have Baylor, TCU and OU at home....because they will likely lose at Tech and WV. I'm not sold on Rudolph as a QB, but I will still reserve judgment on him for a few more games.

The Big 12 is wide open.
