I thought Fran and the other guy did a pretty good job today. Fran's work was worlds better than his awful call of our Bedlam win. The pair was pretty even-handed today, I thought, and it was a breath of fresh air.

What the heck were the officials confabbing about w/ 6 seconds to go in the game?

According to the Radio guys, they were trying to see if Clark had hit Johnson with a elbow. Looking for any excuse to try and get KU that win they all wanted.

I agree Sky. I've had to watch most of the games on television this year and Fran had been giving us the business up until today. Just happy for Coach Kruger and the team. They have to finish what they have started. They are getting better in big time games. Very proud of Isaiah and Je'Lon today. They will only get better. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

According to Cox Communications listings in OKC, FCS Central will carry replays at 11PM CST Saturday, 10AM Sunday, and 1PM Monday. FSOK (Fox Sports Oklahoma) will carry it at 8AM Monday CST. FSOK carries almost the same programming as FSSW, so maybe the game will be there, as well.

that was complete bs. the refs didn't even see it in real time. gerry pollard waited until after clark hit his first free throw, and then had a discussion with self who talked him into reviewing the play. really disappointed he let self bait him into such a desperate last effort attempt. not surprised though after those three blocks early in the second half were called fouls on us.

Yep, Fran finally took OU's side on something, lol. Nice to have someone have the boys to call them out

EXACTLY! I thought officiating was terrible. Every time the Jaywhorns drove to the basket, they would push off with their forearm before going up for shot. Never was called for a foul.

I was stunned that they actually said something about the officiating. You hardly ever hear that. I'm sure inside Fran was secretly cheering too.

SoonerSportsTV has the replay of OU vs Kansas tonight at 10:00 PM on FS Oklahoma or you can watch it right now on SoonerSports.TV

This is the first time I've watched a game on SoonerSports.tv and it froze up about 20 minutes ago with 4 minutes left in the game.

After watching the replay it appears to me that KU tried to get the elbow call purposely. Releford grabbed Cam's arm and pulled him while Johnson comes in and puts his arms in Cam's back and then pulls his head back. I was glad that the refs did not fall for the nonsense. Reminds me of when John Thompson's players grabbed guys and pulled them over, trying to make it look like a charge.

Can you imagine if they gave KU two shots and the ball with OU up 4, KU intentionally fouling and it being in Norman?

I started envisioning them taking the 1 free throw off the board, giving KU two shots and the ball with 6 seconds left.

The elbow happened AFTER the foul call, so I would hope that we would get our 2 free throws first.

I don't know the rules but a free throw had been taken. That should prevent any review of old plays or you could back and review the first play of the game. However, we are talking about Big XII officials and KU. Therefore, I was nervous they would screw us.

Typical 'home court advantage' at LNC.

Exactly. Every time someone *****es about the officiating during a road game, they're reminded that that's just life on the road -- you have to expect the home team getting some home-cooking.

I don't see any evidence of that happening for OU at LNC, though. Certainly not yesterday.

If you look at the very last time they replay the sequence (it's the only time they show this particular angle), the only thing Cam's elbow touches is thin air. If you read the refs (the short one on the right) lips, when they're talking to Self about it, it looks like they say no contact (there are a couple of guys on RockChalk who are saying the same thing, FWIW).

Even if there was contact (I feel confident there wasn't), how could it be reviewed after a free throw had already been shot? And it certainly wouldn't negate the foul that KU clearly committed.
