I'm not sure I get the Texas love-fest. Four players from Texas in the top 100?

Myles Turner - Hype, I get it.

Isaiah Taylor was comparable to Woodard stat-wise, but turned the ball over too much and shot 26% from 3. I'll take Woodard as a PG.

Jonathan Holmes was inconsistent and soft at times and not as good a rebounder or defender as Spangler.

Cameron Ridley is rated too low, as he is a man-beast.

I was going to say that about Spangler and Thomas.

Thomas has proven himself being all conference in two different conferences. That is a darn good basketball player.

Spangler not being on that list is ridiculous. The leading rebounder in the best or second best conference deserves to be on that list. Especially when you consider he averaged just under 10 points per game. If all he did was rebound perhaps you could discount his play a bit but the 3 additional rebounds he averages over Holmes is worth more than the 3 points Holmes averages over Spangler. Spangler shot at a higher percentage than Holmes too.

Spangler put up some good stats early but once we got into conference and played anybody with size his limitations were drastically exposed. He's still a good workhorse just a bit undersized.

Boca, Spangler led the big 12 in rebounding in conference only games and also shot 55% from the floor in those games. Seems to me those are pretty good stats.

Yes he had a great season. Just got a little worn down at the end. He was all we had inside and a lot of times matched up against much bigger guys. He's a true warrior.

Saw ESPN did one as well similar to the NBA Rank, really thought Spangler would make it. like someone said the Texas players seem rated high, with the freshman center obviously pumping life into that program.

ESPN had what seemed like the KU starting 5 on the list as well, and I really hope they are reaching.

I watched part of the KU-Washburn game on television a couple of nights ago. Cliff Alexander is definitely not a reach. That guys is a beast!

I wasn't nearly as impressed with the others. Like I said, though, I had a passing interest in the game. I just wanted to get a feel for how the Gawks looked this year.

KU won handily 85-53. Washburn couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. They shot the ball poorly from everywhere on the floor, including the free throw line (12-22).

I doubt if Washburn is as bad as they looked, they just had a bad night. But the fact remains that only one guy on their team was in double figures. Korey Fisher came off of the bench to score 14 points. No one else had more than 7. To put Fisher's performance into perspective, he was 3 of 10 from the field.

Both teams played a lot of players, so it was not that easy to judge how good KU is going to be, or what we can expect from Washburn Friday night. My guess is we'll win by 20 or more.

Thanks, Ada. I was sort of kidding in asking if you liked our chances against them, but it's good to hear a report on their game against KU. They'll play better against us, I expect, if for no other reason than they'll already have a game under their belts (or the elastics on their uniform shorts).
