Sometimes, you have to step back from what's right in front of you and look around. Other teams in other conferences are losing, too.

USA Coaches Poll

3. Baylor: OK, lost at Oklahoma and Iowa State
6. Tennessee: lost at #2 South Carolina
7. Oregon State: lost at home to #19 Stanford
8. Louisville: lost at Virginia
12. Texas A&M: lost at home to Missouri, on the road to LSU
13. Mississippi State: lost at #2 South Carolina
15. Kentucky: lost at home to Texas A&M, lost at Mississippi
16. Iowa: lost at Minnesota and Ohio State last week
17. Duke: three losses in a row: last week at Notre Dame and NC State
This week: at Georgia Tech
18. Rutgers: lost last week at Michigan State, this week at Northwestern
19. Stanford: lost last week at home to California
23. Nebraska: lost last week at Northwestern
24. Texas: lost at West Virginia

AP #24 California: lost last week at home against Stanford, this week at Oregon State
AP #25. Northwestern: lost at home to Maryland.

In the season final poll, Syb, where do you think we end up? You think we bust the top 25? I'm talking about before the conference tournament.

Before the tournament? I don't think we make it. They seem to be very reluctant to drop Dayton, George Washington, Princeton, and FGCU from the top twenty-five for some reason. A&M loses without consequences, as does Duke. We may still be behind Texas, sixth in the conference. The KU loss will keep us out until after the tournament.

Duke stopped their three-game losing streak with an 81-80 win over North Carolina in Durham.

#19 Stanford may have been able to survive last week's loss without dropping too much. But, Stanford lost to unranked Oregon, 12-16, 5-12, by a 62-55 score. That should drop Stanford out with a 21-9, 13-5 record.

Kentucky leads S. Carolina 35 - 25 with 16:01 left in the game.

It is on Cox ESPN 2 HD in OKC.

OU would probably benefit from a South Carolina win. This may put Kentucky in a position to get one of the sixteen host sites.

I don't think Aja Wilson could hit a free throw if her life depended on it. Looks like Vivi.

I like what I've seen of her. She may be a first team All-American by the time she is a junior. Has a couple of things to work on.

I am impressed with her also Syb. She has a great move to the basket.

But she definitely needs to work on the FT shooting.

She has 16 points and 18 rebounds. Their "superstar" has 8 points.

I hate the Kentucky court. Way too many lines on the floor. It would be very easy to get confused on the location of the center court line.

67 - 53 Kentucky at 1:24.

That's the kind of court you get when the women's team is pushed to the 'multipurpose' court.

Kentucky wins 67 - 56.

I believe SC is a bit overrated. Their coach must make too much money. ;)
