Can someone list the top 5 BB prospects in the state of Oklahoma this year?

Just curious.

1) Trae Young Norman north - OU
2) Brady Manek Harrah -OU
3) Ethan Chargois -Tulsa Union - SMU
4) Elijah Landrum - Tulsa Central - SMU
5) Marques Wilson -Edmond North - Lehigh

Kid from Union is really stinking good. I feel OU should have offered. He shows laziness on the court so that may have played a part.

Can someone compare Manek to Chargois? I know Manek is taller and a better outside shooter? Is Manek potentially better than Freeman? I know Manek played against better competition via AAU ball.

Manek will struggle initially playing around the basket. He will be good as a pick and pop guy and shot blocker and rebounder. Great athlete. Once he gets his body right he will be very good.

Manek isn't taller than Chag if he is it is an inch maybe.

To me Manek is an outside in player while Chag is an inside out kid. If Chag would have stayed healthy and worked on his shape he would have been a good option. OU likes to switch and I'm not sure he can guard outside on those switches.

That being said Chag right now is probably the better shooter of the the 2.

Just my opinion but Manek better than freeman right now.

Manek 6'9 Ethan 6'6-6'7

Someone last year came on here saying the reason OU wasn't offering Ethan was because he "wasn't 6-8". Brett is probably right and he's probably grown, and it really stinks if he is OU good in a position of need and OU overlooked him.

Ethan was 6'8 last year but OU thought he wasn't explosive enough. I think Ethan is better than Freeman also.

Interesting. Because Freeman isn't explosive at all. Is Ethan a stretch 4 or true post?

Maybe we should have offered chargois instead of polla? I know polla is a pure post but i would hate to lose a top quality guy for a project with better measurables.

Trust the staff. I know it's hard. They are so unproven.

I do trust the staff. Doesn't mean they are perfect.

For what's it's worth, espn has polla as a 4* and chargois as a 3*.

Thanks for the confidence. I'm not guessing on that number that came from the coach that actually measured him. He was over 6'9 with his shoes on.

Hadn't seen that, thanks for pointing out. Not that ESPN is the end all... But i have been thinking he's a total project. Not that he's not, but nice to see an outlet acknowledge with a 4*. I saw Manek is a 4* also. Neither of them are considered top 100 though. Where can you get ESPN's 101-150? All I can find is top 100...

It will come probably this Summer. I think when it comes to basketball recruiting ESPN is one of the worst.

Too bad. They rate our guys the highest...

Lol that usually doesn't mean too much, they rated Doolittle the highest & they were right on him. Scout to me does the best job because they blend current level + potential evenly. Rivals gives higher ratings to those with higher ceilings.
