Which conference team do you think has the best chance of finishing ahead of OU?

Baylor still the team to beat this year with Sims and a bunch of young talent. But OU, ISU, WVU and OSU are all teams capable of winning the conference this year.

I know that Baylor has talent but some of that talent will be young. I am going with WVU. They have plenty of juniors and seniors and I like they way they play defense.

I agree, this maybe a wide open race, but just gut feeling, OU, WVU, and ISU maybe the top three. I don't think Sims can do it herself for Baylor. Too much loss from last year, but Kim will keep them competitive.

You can't win unless you can score---WV eliminated.
Need to sweep at home and get a few road wins---OSU eliminated.
Christofferson can't do it alone---IS eliminated
Sims and some green talent are more of a threat than the rest. At least, there are possibilities. I don't even see possibilities at WV, OSU, and ISU.

In the later part of the year, I expect OSU to be pretty good. They may have a few rough games early in conference until the newbies figure out how to play in the Big 12.

We will probably lose a few conference road games but I certainly believe we can win all of our home games.

Who forgets to block out
Who throws the ball away
Who doesn't hustle when we need it
Who doesn't keep the pressure on the full clock on defense
etc. etc. etc.

We have met our toughest opponent and she is us.

If we don't have the dreaded injuries this year, Sherri won't have to put up with bad play. She can quickly go to the bench (and I hope she does) as she has more depth than she has had in some time.

Right now I think Baylor is the biggest obstacle but I will say that if Brittany Martin steps up her game and becomes an all-conference type of player then OSU could contend for the top spot.

I agree. Martin could easily move up in the range of 15-17 points per game and help lead the Cowgirls along with Donohoe and Bias.

While these three will be the main focus, I am most excited to see what Kendra Suttles will do shouldering the load on the inside. She made the most of her opportunity while replacing Keller last year after multiple injuries ended Keller's career a few games early.

If OSU had any history of having won on the road, I might regard them more seriously. They had the talent. But, they came completely unglued at times on the road. They lost both games to Tech and lost to TCU on the road. Strange, the won against West Virginia on the road, but lost at home.

Youth? Bias was a junior. They weren't that young. Their seniors just didn't lead them. They haven't learned to rise above mediocrity.

I think this is nearly always true. I consider rebounding to be the single biggest key to success this coming year(assuming all are healthy).

I agree, if we can rebound the basketball, we will be tough to handle. This is where we really need Griffin to step up.
