I pray for his sake he doesn't go to the Knicks. Might be great from an off the court perspective, but that franchise has been a joke for over a quarter century, with a couple exceptions. Porzongis is great, but one great player doesn't translate to much success in the NBA.

NBA draft analysts I respect have said New York is a great fit for him, because Ntilikina (the kid they drafted this year) can cover for him defensively, while Trae can make up for Ntilikina's lack of offense. That being said, I think it's a moot point unless they trade up, because I don't see Trae making it past Orlando. Orlando is a franchise that desperately needs someone to get fans excited, and I don't think drafting another random athletic big man project like Michael Porter or Marvin Bagley is going to do that for them.

It also doesn't serve team need for Orlando... They clearly need a point guard. They are fine in the paint for a few years with Vucevic and Isaac... Aaron Gordon is a fine player at SF, and Evan Fournier is a fine player at SG. They have a nice base of players.

They either need to give up the pick in exchange for a more veteran point guard or draft Trae Young.

Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac would be good "oop" teammates to have. Trae fits in so well in Orlando. I even dig the supporting cast guys there.

I agree about Orlando. He'd be a better fit for what they need to actually become a playoff type team. It's just kinda cool to think of him getting the ball to Porzingis. That kid's amazing.
