Trae Young will not be signing in the early period

I feel the opposite I guess to most on here. I feel he should pick and help his new school recruit. Who ever it is. Plus it holds the losing schools hostage when they could be spending their time and effort on someone else. No disrespect toward any recruit...just the way I feel.

Good thing OU is full. But I see your point.

Not in any way is this a good sign for OU if the report is true. That doesn't mean he won't stay home but he is completely familiar with the OU program yet he is not sold.

He's been saying for months that he wasn't going to commit until late December or early January. This news is not new.

I'm sure I'll get beat up for this but I would take a good pg and skip out on Trae if I had the chance. If he had it in his blood he would already be a Sooner. I hate being left out in the cold last minute and scrambling. He's had all the opportunity he could of ever asked for. 100% with a quality kid is better than 40% with him. If he loved OU enough to stay he would be on board. I bet he leaves state anyway.

Well, to be fair, Kruger kind of slow played Trae with an offer.

we're fine. keep our course.

Trae wants to go to a good team. Basketball is different in two respects from football, in that the players can leave after any year so a team can fluctuate dramatically in any single year and just the fact that basketball is only a 5 player at a time sport means that a single player can change a teams composition

I dont fault Trae at all to see what each team has in terms of talent. when our younger guys hopefully have a great year and show tons of growth between McGusty, Odomes, James ect. Trae will see that he will have tons of help

I think were fine where were at

Pretty quiet out there. They rolled out a full arena, tons of NBA guys from the past. He left without a commitment, so that's a positive.

Agree with this. Everything about Trae Young says that he's one of those guys who likes the grind and isn't looking for an easy way to the NBA. He wants to get there ready to contribute and not because of the name on the front of his jersey.

I still think we get him. He wants to be the man and run the show. That opportunity doesn't exist at Kentucky. We shall see...

I know they are Kentucky and can slow people... but Tremont Waters and Quade Green are both PG and they lead with Waters. Green's recruitment is all over the place but has UK in his final 5. (once an under armour lean but I think that's over)

Young wants the full reigns...

That is so far from true. Kentucky point guards do run the show and are the face of the team year after year.

So if that's your logic in getting him then we are in trouble.

Correct PG are running the show... But he wants to be "The" Man. Kentucky wont allow that... Shall I say share the spotlight with 8 other 5 stars...

What is your knowledge of the situation? Im dying for your knowledge!

It sounds like you don't follow Kentucky because everything you are saying about Kentucky is false. Even though Kentucky has elite players, Cal makes his point guards the star or in your case, the "Man"

John Wall wasn't any less of the star just because Cousins was on the roster. Ulis was the star last year even with the other talented players.

And the fact that Young is waiting to sign in the late period and he wants to see who leaves...well no one is leaving OU early so he obviously isn't taking about OU when making those comments which means he is talking about Kentucky and whether Fox is leaving after this season.

The first person I think of from last year's team is Jamal murray... and I think that's kind of the point. "The man" imo is the guy everyone mentions first like Ben Simmons last year or Buddy. It's possible at Kentucky but not as likely. John Wall did it. But he's John Wall.

You can't tell him anything, he knows all.
