Never heard of her, but the ON3 article says she is from Norman, Okla. Anyone know anything about her? OU good, want or don't want. Is she a "head" case or good kid etc. Someone fill us in. Thanks. (presumably Mike Neal would know her)
She was a junior on the Kelbie Washington team that won the state title coached by Mike Neal. She then sat out her senior year (an injury but it seemed odd), then went to Florida and played some bench minutes as a freshman. She has set out this year not on Florida’s roster.
This is pure uninformed speculation but it appears she has struggled with depression….reading the On3 article she says she is in a “better headspace”…hopefully she is ready to resume her basketball career and get a college education. Mike Neal and Jennie would know much better than me but I would think she goes to a lower level school than OU and if she has success then she can move to a higher level if that is her goal.
Assuming this happens then Delaney Gibb will be a very popular guard after a strong freshman season if she enters the portal. OU offered and she visited.
