Silly goose. 1st Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All American is not 14 levels behind. I'm sure as a former coach you get this and your all world sis understands that too.

Our losses this season:

LSU
Duke
UCONN
Kentucky
Miss State

6 of our 8 losses came from elite 8 teams and Kentucky & Miss State both made the tourney. Yes, Turnovers need to be worked on but you have to play the cards you are dealt...I'm sure as a former coach you understand that. Turnovers are also a symptom of the holes in our roster...also something as a coach you surely understand.
In the Big 12 several of our players worked out just fine. There was no Georgia Amore, Mikalya Blakes, Tina Pao-Pao, Jewel Spear, Cooper, Fulwiley, & Mikaylay Williams. The lesson we learned in the SEC is that the majority of the teams have tall, fast, ie athletic guards that pressure the ball and were major match up issues on both ends of the floor. This is why we had to transition away from Tot & Jones this season. Guards would isolate both and we could not stop them on the defensive side of the ball or be able to position for a good pass in or drive to the hoop on the offensive end. This did not happen in the big 12 outside of Texas.

Oh, so why is that an issue with turnovers? Well, if you don't have anyone that can create their own shot and/or drive to the hoop they have to "force" passes because there is no other option to create. The only person on our roster that could come close to that was Reyna. If you are not athletic enough to create (meaning fast enough and strong enough ball handling skills), it also allows the defense to sag off poor shooters & clog up the paint as well, if there is no fear of the outside shot or drive.

I think the challenge that most of us have on the board is that we had a team go to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 12 years and finish 4th place is the toughest conference in the country and every time you post it is a complaint about the team. Yes, message boards are meant for also venting on the shortfalls of your team...but when its constant it is annoying.

I’ve watched prob 90% of the games. My complaints on TO are the total boneheaded plays, bad passing angles… those are correctable but even against UConn we had several. So apparently the team didn’t b work much on those or the players aren’t getting it.

Sorry I think my sis who actually played D1 vs.. you? Or most of the board here.. has a better grasp on it. Crazy I know.

Hoping Chavez is the start of getting more athletic “bigger” guards.

I had high hopes for Landry. We are really going to have to strike it big in the portal to have players to rotate next season.

I think the only reason she would enter the portal is if she thought her playing time wouldn't increase next year. If she thinks that, that tells me Jennie already knows she has some quality portal players interested in transferring to OU.

Koval from ND was a good freshman, maybe not as productive as one would hope but she's got a ton of potential, IMO. I'd reach out to her if I were JB, having her with Beers in front of her for a year could really help her develop. It'll be interesting to see who we bring in!

I would love to have Kate Koval here at Oklahoma. She is Good and a little taller then Raegan. And probably a more modern big as well.
