Watching UConn, we could have very easily been an elite eight team this year if we had matched up with any of the other twos. Luck of the draw.

I think the new Wisconsin coach is Robin Pingeton, the ex Mizzou coach. Probably recruited Steele out of High School.

According to rumors, Arizona is the school who offered Steele "quietly" and enticed her into the portal.

Maybe Wiscy offered more or maybe Steele had to pivot once Arizona's coach left for SMU? Who knows.

I wish Allen would reconsider. KJ in the portal and L Scott graduating. Her time on the court might have improved at the 4 position. Unless JB told her otherwise. It might have been her breakout year.

I think we might want to temper our expectations on the portal this year. Last year we had a clear need for a starting big and Jenny landed the best out there. This year our needs are different. Our starting five, Beers, Williams, Verhulst, Vann, and Chavez is set. Our needs are off the bench depth. It’s hard to land a big name for that role and we do not have unlimited NIL. I think we get two or three additions but they probably aren’t going to be head turners.

That makes me wonder if Aalyah Del Rosario enters the transfer portal. She was a McDonalds All American and barely played this year then they go get a big out of the portal. Ill glady take her 6’6 height for a backup behind Beers. Because at LSU she wasn’t even a back up. She was just keeping the bench warm, here she would get lots of minutes.

WE don't know anything about how much NIL we have remaining, or not remaining. I think Del Rosario had an ankle injury that limited her, but she also needs to make a commitment to her fitness, IMO, in order to be better and reach her ceiling. I'd rather we go get an agile, lender, long backup post capable of shooting and that can run the floor to way we need her to, but I suppose JB will get what she can with what she has. I believe we need about 3 portal players to enable us to play to way we want without worrying about tiredness and/or injury. 9 players is not enough and I believe 15 is too much. Can't wait to see what JB does, but the longer we go without any announcements the more uneasy i get about our chances of landing anyone impactful.

Respectfully, Brooklyn is no post player. Not even close to it. She’s a 4 or 3 player at Max. I can see her playing the five if Oklahoma wants to play small ball but no she is no post player. Stop trying to say she is a post because she’s not. If you watch her highlights she’s definitely Power forward guard with shooting range from all 3 levels.

Just because a player is tall does not mean they are a post/Center and some of yall fail to realize that.
