okay, don't add Dar, I guess.
Cooper Flagg one year in the MidwestI’ve asked around enough to be confident that the mystery player is real. I do not know who he is and have sent out the attack dogs @StoopsBros with all that I know. Pretty sure everyone is being coy because it’s a delicate situation and sort of a long shot.
And I do not know if that’s who Trae is referring to but I admittedly haven’t listened to the interview yet.
How many people in America have deep “roots” or feelings of loyalty to their old college? How many people make it a point to attend reunions or stay in touch with classmates or professors? Some do, sure, but not many. I don’t think most of these guys are going to miss out on any amazing life experience if they transfer, make more money, and give themselves a nice nest egg before they are done with basketball. All these players who should, by all rights, be perfectly happy where there are (there are exceptions, of course) being convinced by "agents," family and/or friends (or their own misguided conviction that surely the grass is greener out there, right?) chasing bags year after year, establishing no roots, no loyalties, no enduring communities and probably receiving half-assed educations while they're at it.
Yes, I know that some student-athletes never did care about the education but many did, and how strong an education can one receive if you're at a different school every year?
We will eventually need contracts in some way. Maybe give both sides ways to exit but there needs to be contracts agreed to by both sides.

Shows they're reaching.. creative marketing thonot all that impressed with the Twitters that say : scored 13 points against ranked or "name" team.
Can’t make players sign contracts when you are going to continue to claim they aren’t employees. We will eventually need contracts in some way. Maybe give both sides ways to exit but there needs to be contracts agreed to by both sides.
"Contractors" sign contracts with companies/employers all the time. There has to be a fix for this. The current status isn't sustainable. Can’t make players sign contracts when you are going to continue to claim they aren’t employees.

If you could renegotiate your salary based on market value every year, wouldn’t you do that? For you and your family? If someone is willing to pay you more, it’s definitely worth considering. I don’t blame the players. It’s the adults running the system that have screwed it all up with their own greed. All the adults do it and you’re lamenting 18 yr olds that are following their example?
