Transfer Portal 2025

Because we have fans that support it over sports that matter like CBB. Softball is not huge nationwide. The ratings are meh and the following is basically OU and that's it. It's a crap sport.
Softball has come a long way in the last 15-20 years. It has increased in popularity across the country. It used to be a strictly west coast sport. The National Tournament has also been very good to Oklahoma City. It contributes to the economy.
I’m a season ticket holder in football, but I happen to enjoy softball, basketball, and baseball. I’m happy for the success of gymnastics and golf. It would a real shame to drop sports to invest even more money in football. If so many of these SEC schools can support all of these sports, I don’t see why we can’t do it as well.
You have every right to not like softball, but the juvenile name calling is not fair or accurate.

Why the hell did you quote me and state the same damn thing you stated earlier?

It wouldn't be a shame to drop the useless sports I don't watch, most people don't watch, nor care about. They can all drop for all I care. I care about the ones that matter in college. Football and basketball. It's been a pleasure.

Our boy Del'Orso did that with Campbell a few years back. Campbell gave him their whole NIL budget. Same thing must've happened here at SCS.
Crazy bad decision imo. You have to factor in exposure value too. I'm not sure i had ever heard of SCS before these tweets..

It kind of helped Del'Orso because he was a Freshman returning for his sophomore season. He returned averaged 16 ppg. Got a hell of an offer from Arizona, but boy is he just okay at best at Zona.

Fair enough. Part of it depends on the year of eligibility too

Yep, I was at the Big 12 game against Tech, and he was nowhere to be seen. Don't get me wrong, he played most of the game but did absolutely nothing.

Yeah. I remember in the Battle for Atlantis I was like oh, he's playing? If that's what you call it.

Zona seems to be the Caleb Love or bust show half the time.

Arizona’s not a great fit for him imo. He’s a guy that needs the ball in his hands to have a real impact & they don’t have a ton of that to go around.

I was interested in the fit last year for OU because at the time we had no ability to create offense on our roster. Once Miles, Nwankwo, and to a greater extent, Fears happened, I felt a lot better about the situation.

I still think it’d be nice to have him with the Nwankwo/Jones injuries.

I agree 100%, but he got a pretty big check to come to Zona. So yeah. No way we're competing with those dudes.
