Transfer Portal 2025

Needs to head back down to a mid major.

But maybe there's a desperate P4 that'll take him. Good kid, fought hard, but is/was a bit overmatched.
Agreed… would love to replace him with a guy that can actually go get some buckets… he is a bit too undersized for this level imo. Like the idea of Jones returning, think with the right pieces he could be a perfect 3 and D type wing.

would love to keep miles as a 5th guard .. but i can see why he would not want that role
That's what I meant to say....as a starter.

I expected a 15 ppg kid and I thought he was a much better defender. But he wasn't all bad, for sure (ex: 43% 3P).

As several of you have said, he'd be a good bench guard but I doubt he wants that. If he wants a premier role, he needs to head down (but like a VCU type, really good mid major). Or he could head to a better payday bench/"Robin" role, I guess (Auburn, for example).

This is a kid OU needs to at least contact. He'll probably be out of the budget though (no idea, yet).

If you assume he is out of the budget, chances are high that he is. I think NIL might even be worse than last year, given no changes in leadership.

Moser can — or should — try to get a guy or two for a discount by selling how he developed Moore and Fears into NBA guys.

Fears is a lock for the lottery and Moore went from being a nobody to easily getting a spot on someone’s summer league roster. He will probably end up overseas, but he’s improved dramatically.

NIL will go up simply because the school is going to have to pay some this year in revenue sharing.

But it'll go up for everybody, as in, every school.

Pretty stupid that a sport that brought in less than $3M in Revenue has to pay double that to field a competitive team. What sense does that make?

Duke miles to Auburn? To ride the bench? Team manager?
It was widely reported that Auburn wanted him and thought they had him till he committed to OU. Who knows what role he would play, but they were offering him. I don't get it, but I assume they had a specific role in mind for him (certainly not as a 34-game starter like he was for us).

He's not undersized, he just isn't good enough.

Miles is listed at 6'2.

Pedulla (Ole Miss) is listed at 6'1.
Zeigler (Tenn) is listed at 5'9.
Taylor IV (aTm) is listed at 6'0.

If you can play, you can play.

Moore is not an NBA guy, get real. And Fears was an NBA guy from day one.

I would argue that he's undersized for the position he's playing. IF he handled the ball better and was a true PG then 6'2 is fine. Ideally, the off guards are typically a little taller than that for me at least. Obviously, there are exceptions but Miles at 6'2 will struggle in the off-guard spot due to not being as athletic as some of those in the same spot. Again, just my opinion.
