I'm curious about how you choose which to post about of these guys entering the portal? Do these guys have any ou connection or they're following us? There will be prolly 2-3k of them in the portal, so I'm curious.

Idk how big of news it might be if Mr. Avg Stats from KCKCK enters the portal with 4 years of eligibility left..

This particular post is because he’s a young Dallas kid with good size & we recruited him in HS. He also started 8 of the 10 games he played for them including the OU game. Hump & Morris both follow him but neither are new follows.

Other guys I post are guys I think could be worthy of a look. So far I believe Eaglestaff is the only guy that’s received a staff follow this cycle but I do track those as well.

I’m not just posting every guy that enters if that’s what you’re asking.

Replacing Fears next is year going to be almost the same as when Tre left after 1 season, your leading scorer and biggest threat is gone so can OU in the portal
throw enough money at someone to get an adequate replacement?

So what does that say about Moser’s coaching/scouting/recruiting ability since ou is absolutely competing the past 2 years but only with about 20-25% of that budget?

Everyone can try to rehab and make excuses for pm, but trust your eyes. The players are not disciplined and coached well. Yes, more talent would always make any coach better. But pm has objectively not done a job with the talent he has managed to be given and that's irrefutable imo

I think it says that he (and his staff) have done a pretty good job identifying value Guards in the portal .. and that he was very very lucky Fears fell into his lap ..

It tells me that in today’s landscape, he hasn’t gotten a fair shot. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not been perfect ( I about went through the roof when he wouldn’t get off the floor in Austin, etc.) but he’s been coaching with one hand tied behind his back pretty much since he came here.
