Transfer Portal 2025

Is the BYU $ primarily tied to Ryan Smith? Crazy amounts of money.

Would be interesting to see if the ongoing market volatility slows some of this down at all. Imagine it’s pretty inelastic since the wealth involved is just so massive but could see a sentiment hit.

I’m not dealing in speculation. If that happens. It’ll be a fears surprise
Do we have any idea who it actually might be? Or they just focusing on getting a (no one in particular) shooter and a (no one in particular) local kid?

They all have tons of money up there.

If we get Lindsay are we gonna just be a team that shoots a ton of 3s?

Lindsay and Pack both averaged 6-7 3s per game. Jaden Jones at Long Beach State averaged 6 per game there at 37%. We don't know where Forsythe will land there he didn't play enough or really shoot enough to say where he'll be able to average. I'm guessing the average for those has to go down to around 4 a game right?

Next request? Get more active on social media. Sell Pack and Tae (and the rest of the roster when it's built).

"Help PACK the LNC"

"This team will be Taerrific. Buy season tickets NOW"

You already have Dayton on the team as a fan fav.

(but have someone MUCH MUCH smarter than me come up with the marketing ideas, lol....just put as*es in the seats from day 1 and keep them there)

i'm glad we got pack...
otherwise ..the promotion would have been ...."come watch dayton lead us to dayton for the play in game...."

It would be nice if we could get more length on the perimeter. Little on the small side right now. Adding Lindsay and Campbell won't help there.
Dayton - 6'2
Jones - 6'5"
Pack - 6'

Lindsay - 6'3"
Campbell - 6'2"

But at the end of the day just need guys who can hoop.

Nwankwo is 6’5-6’6. I have pretty high expectations for him.

Don’t see 3.5.

Some of these kids would flash a pay check or stacks and stacks of 100’s.

I just don’t see this much money floating out
You’re probably right. If it were up to me, all of these transactions would be public record.

Was just coming to post off of @CoachTalk and agree with the assessment,

Shooter - Lindsay
Local Kid - Campbell

You could maybe say shooter Donovan Atwell as well? But all signs point to Lindsay.

Basically, Moser saying space the floor, jack up 3s...we need rebounding. Jamichael Stillwell would be perfect for that. Heck, bring in Gavin Walsh on the cheap.

Clearly looks like Moser is more focused on bringing in guys that have produced, much higher levels of production that we have seen in the past. (I could be wrong, let me look back at my portal sheets)

May be that he has the money to get closer to who he wants. Still not sure about the big guys right now. Wague is okay defensively and if he plays like he did later in the year rebounding. But he's basically even more of a black hole offensively than Godwin was. We don't know about the freshmen or Atak at this point.

And isn't Dybansta rumored to be getting $7MM next season.

Wow, $10MM plus on two players. Can only dream of the total NIL budget for the whole roster.

That would buy a lot of Gideon Bibles.
duke spent 22 mil last year ... louisville's roster will be over 15 next season .. BYU also offered their lotto pick 7ish to stay 1 more year .. (he still turned pro)

2024-25 season:
Only guys that stayed last year: Godwin, Moore, Northweather*, Yaya (meh), Cole (meh)
Freshman: Forsythe, Atak
Incoming Transfers: Miles, Wague, Goodine, Nwankwo, Jones, Elvis, Taylor Jr.

2024-25 season:
Only guys that stayed this year: Forsythe, Jones, Nwankwo, Wague, Atak
Freshman: Blair*, Holst, Rogers
Incoming Transfers: Davis, Pack, Lindsay*, Campbell* (*Projected for the comparison)

Both years, only 2 producers returning, but Jones and Nwankwo are big projectors.

Looking at production of rosters across last year and this year projected. Also added Last year transfers with their last year production and differences. (This is all on the last sheet of the portal tracker)

I added in Lindsay and Campbell as comparisons.

20 mil is nothing to a billionaire that wants to win
