Transfer Portal 2027

Why?

I'm not expecting a 10 deep roster of guys without questions, but we can't get 4-5 proven starters? I mean, we kind of have that last year, and a bench of Jones, Nwankwo (bust), and Forsythe.

It also goes back to building a team that can win. A team with an identify. No flip flopping from a team with offense and no defense, to a team with defense and no offense. How hard can it be to get some guards that can shoot 35% from 3 and play some d
Let a roster fill first, then worry about breaking it down or criticizing it. Who knows what it will look like. Big reason why we brought on a GM.

Right or wrong, if it takes the better part of a week to announce, then I don’t consider that a commitment. I can’t recall the names, but OU has been down this road before and the player(s) ended up elsewhere.

Because commit number 2 was hinted at 4 days ago before this guard on campus ever even visited Baylor.

Here’s what I was told.

Mingo committed via zoom. Like most are doing these days.
Once UNC backed off Dylan (which I don’t think is true, I think he choose to leave with new staff)
he wanted to see campuses because he helping Dylan make his choice as well.

So in a nutshell, he committed verbally but still may go play with his brother somewhere else. ✅
He's also not a Big. 🤷‍♂️

Was just reading some of the profiles on The Athletic's list of the top 50 portal players. Of note to us, it was generally high on Mingo, but did say that if he and his brother want to play together, their games aren't complementary of one another "since they're both weak shooters from distance." Re: Kayden, they note that he has "longe been a sub-30 percent 3-point shooter." They do like his overall game, though, and consider him a very good defender. Offensively, they like his slashing and midrange game.

Watching tape I really like his game. If he can boost the 3pt % he's got a high ceiling. Love the way he attacks. He's strong so he finishes well in traffic and through contact and seems to have good vision.

Easy now. Can't be critical of kids that can't shoot and how adding one or both to a roster might create issues with said roster. They are highly ranked therefore we shut up, take them, and enjoy the FF run. Or so I've been told. Can't question PoMo's roster building, because it's been legendary the past few years.

I think, if you can inch that average up to 30-33% (which isn't a drastic change) and make it serviceable then you have something.
He's never going to be a sniper but the rest of his game is solid. Jeremiah Fears shot 28% from 3 but I dont think you'd find a single fan that wouldn't have taken him back.

Since you have an "expert" opinion on every player and their abilities, maybe you can get a job building the perfect roster?

Heck, I see you constantly bitch but never have a constructive solution or thought.

Seriously, what do you do for a living? Honestly question
