You should of seen him waddle down to the baseball field to watch his son's JUCO baseball games...definitely was the elephant in the room no one was talking about.

Among the basketball players seen at Wescoe Underground this morning were the Morris twins, Mario Little, Sherron Collins, Tyshawn Taylor, Brady Morningstar, Travis Releford, Tyrel Reed, Thomas Robinson and Elijah Johnson. One of the Morris twins told the police, "One of them just jumped out and threw his hands on me."

As embarrassing as this is I will say the only bright side is this dang basketball team has some fire and unity. I've been hearing all summer how they are a family and really bonding. Sounds like it. Taking it a little too far. LOL.

this is high drama. Let me get this straight. Tyshawn Taylor injures himself last night and is out 4 weeks with a hand injury. This morning he is in the middle of the action throwing punches? This is brilliance at its highest level...

Eh, the only issue here is Taylor's hand...if no one files a report, KU police won't even begin an investigation. I'm sure the KU athletic department, as well as the coaches, will look into the situation. The fact that these two guys are fighting over some broad is comical, good to see AJ and Willie didn't go this route earlier in the year.

I agree with Cheno, from a coach's standpoint it is a good sign to see the team bonded together as a tight knit group.

This will be a non-issue in a week.

Furthermore (and I know this is tuff for young guys to understand) but if the girl is doing both of them or even seriously flirting with both of them, she is simply not worth it. Is a girl that would allow this to happen even worth it?

Self is an Edmond guy. The only thing I have against the guy is he coaches at KU and I don't like KU. You really can't hold it against him that he got one of the top jobs in the country.

Great post and I totally agree. Both groups of players have way too much to lose to act like tough guys over a girl. I will say that it probably happens more than people know in terms of conflict between teams but this takes it to another level that is just stupid.

I will say that I love KU's guys but all the guys mentioned who were involved come from pretty serious neighborhoods that take personal insults to greater levels than the average person. Collins, Morris Twins, Taylor, and Mario LIttle all come from some of the worst neighborhoods in the country. The sad thing is the point of coming to Lawrence is to get away from that stuff, not bring it with you.
