Tubby Smith leaving Minnesota?

So one of Capel's team USA U19 assisants (Hewitt) is getting the axe?

Why?

In hind sight, we should have went hard after Tubby when we landed Capel. I wasn't for it then, but I certainly would be now. He probably doesn't take us to the promised land, but he can clean up this mess, get our program back on stable ground, and then we can go forward from there.
 
OU had Tubby once for a couple of hours. It was before they hired Sampson.

Tubby accepted the job then called on the HWY back to Tulsa and said he would have to turn it down.

Mike Davis didn't win at Indiana!! Heck he came into a program at UAB that was already set and running well by Mike Anderson.

i don't get that list. Please don't get cute; go hire the guy at Wichita State. What about Steve Fisher at San Diego State? he's got to be old though.

BYU guy? He would have to love the OU job over BYU I would think.
 
Is Ron Everhart the coach who couldn't 30% of his games at St. Louis U?

1.) because we have a coach that isn't getting fired
2.) Tubby would cost too much

The Shocks are my 2nd favorite team (I was born in Wichita) so I keep up w/ them every bit as much as OU, & I have to say that before the season, I'd have been totally in favor of this, but now I'm not quite as sure. WSU's lost 4 times at Koch this year, & with the team they've got this year, that just shouldn't have happened. GM's proven to be a very good recruiter, but the more I watch his teams over the years, the more I liken him to Scott Drew-light in that he's a fine recruiter, but an average X-O's guy (although I'd still take him over Drew in that area). IMO, if OU were to hire a guy from the Valley, I think I'd lean slightly toward Jacobson personally.
 
Harvard is actually good, but hell no on Amaker or any other Dukie and Duke is my second favorite team. Coach K guys, for some reason, suck as coaches.
